“I am a competitive Powerlifter and full time CrossFit Coach and was having issues dialing in my diet.  I knew that without a proper diet I would never be able to take my training to the next level, let alone function properly on a daily basis, and that’s when I was referred to Stu.  

He made it so simple for me to turn my erratic eating habits into consistent ones.  Stu asked me to tell him what I regularly would eat on a daily basis, and it turns out I was under eating by a pretty large margin.  When I received my diet plan, it seemed to mimic the timing and type of meals I would usually eat but he made it in a way that I could get more calories by adding in certain things into my diet.  He also outlined in specific detail what I should be doing on training days vs. non training days.

At 23 years old, I had been training myself for a number of years before I decided to take it to the next level and step on stage to compete. I was unsure of what getting into “contest shape” entailed but knew I needed to start by finding a coach who I felt confident could guide me to success. I did a little research and after reading about all of Stu’s great achievements (both personally and with clients) I decided to give him a shot. To say he exceeded my expectations is an understatement. His guidance has brought me the kind of success that I had previously thought impossible. I had no idea what kind of transformation was in store for me through following the customized training and nutrition plan he had created. Not only was he well organized and exceptionally thorough in customizing my plan, but his own first hand experience of going through it all has made him extremely realistic and understanding in helping me prepare both mentally and physically to step out onto the stage with confidence.

I could not be happier with the track record that Stu has helped me attain in this newly started vocation of natural bodybuilding. I am still beside myself that I was able to achieve this kind of success and am certainly looking forward to working with Stu and representing the wolf pack in the future.

I was fortunate to find Stu's website while registering for a figure competition. I reacted on a whim to contact him, because I knew I needed help with my diet. I had just changed medication to help with my multiple sclerosis, and weight loss and medicinal side effects were a challenge.  If I didn't eat certain foods when I took my medication I would experience terrible side effects. Stu gave me options.

 Weight loss wasn't easy either. Dieting and not seeing the numbers on the scale go down, I started to feel doubtful, however Stu was very patient and reassured me that it would all work out in the end. He came up with different strategies that my body would respond to. Even though the scale didn't budge right away, my body composition drastically did, and I added more muscle too! 

Working with Stu has helped me achieve my goal in getting to where I wanted to be on show day, and most importantly managing my MS.  I am very lucky to have found him, and can't wait to step on stage as a bodybuilder. I have absolute faith that Stu will bring me to that level.

S​​tu prepared me for my first bodybuilding show in which I placed first in my weight class, took the overall, and earned a pro card. The contest preparation was an amazing experience, especially considering that although I myself am a registered dietitian with undergraduate and masters degrees in nutrition and a long-time gym rat and bodybuilding fan, I never quite knew the ins and outs for contest preparation. Well, I consider the completion of such preparation another credential under my belt considering Stu took me to bodybuilding university and showed me how it's done.

Not only did Stu prescribe me in what dietary and training directions to follow, he explained to me the reasoning for all of his decision making in the process, passing along knowledge that can only be acquired through experience and passed along from bodybuilder to bodybuilder, not in the classroom or laboratory, and not from shuffling studies around, something that seems these to be the en vogue thing to do, rather than paying attention to and applying what works with physique transformation in the real world! 
 
Stu has an uncanny ability to make sound training and dietary adjustments for whatever situation his client encounters along the way in contest prep, an ability that I believe can only be acquired from being a seasoned competitor himself with acute foresight. 
 
Contest preparation, while being part of an enjoyable pastime, can be a physically harsh endeavor, and unlike many of today's churn-'em-and-burn-'em gurus who do not have their clients health in mind. Stu makes all decisions along the way with health and safety in mind. He is also brutally honest in the assessment of his clients in this competitive endeavor, unlike those gurus who seek quantity of clients over quality. 
 
Trust me when I say this man will not steer you wrong and will bend over backwards for you in your contest prep so long as you put in the work!

I met Stu through one of his client’s, who had recently just finished his first prep, winning his pro card in the process. I started out as a typical “gym bro” at the University of Albany training but obviously simply spinning my wheels in place with poor diet and drinking. Towards the end of college I began eating well and constantly reading up on new exercises, workout splits, as well as nutrition and the passion kept growing and growing. Fast forward about 3 years past college and I had a desire to compete and began to look for a coach and a show. Meeting a gentleman who was a natural bodybuilder like myself who competed in natural shows quite successfully gave me a new outlook on the endeavor that I never had!  After a meal at Minado’s with the "Wolf Pack" I looked at Stu and said “screw it, let’s do this!”  It was the craziest thing that I have ever done but it was well worth it!

              Prepping for a competition is extremely draining and will simply take over your world if you are doing it right! Stu was always there to check up on my progress but most of all to check up on how I was doing. Stu was the perfect balance of a coach and a buddy. He cares about your goals but never puts goals ahead of one’s well-being. He kept me motivated to keep pushing when I didn’t have much left and I take major pride in knowing that I was coached by the best! My only goal was to simply get on stage and not look out of place and compete. I can truly say with my head held high that I did just that! I may have been the one to win the trophies, medals, and an ANBF Pro Card but I sure as hell could not have been as successful without Stu in my corner!  If you are looking to reach that next level and feel like you’re stuck, Stu is a no brainer for a coach who can get you to where you are looking to go!

 ​Stu Yellin is an outstanding coach, a great friend and one of the nicest guys I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Stu coached me through my first competitive season in 2016, including two shows and 42 total weeks of coaching. As a first time competitor, having a great coach is essential. Someone to make the tough decisions, be objective, someone that can be trusted to help you get through one of the most challenging experiences you’ll ever face.

​Throughout the entire journey, I always knew Stu had my back. His constant communication, professionalism and experience as a professional bodybuilder and judge, helped me achieve something I never thought I could, ultimately ending with a second place finish in the INBF Open Class Bantamweights at the Hercules show in Manhattan, NY. Stu made it easy to execute the nutrition plan he made for me by tailoring food choices and meal frequency to what I would do typically, adjusting calories as needed as the prep continued. At 36 years old and a relative newcomer to the gym, Stu Yellin got me into the best shape of my life! I also credit him with my 1st place win in Figure Novice at the Hercules Natural Bodybuilding competition in NYC.

It was my first Figure competition and with Stu’s guidance and expertise I walked onto the stage confidently knowing we achieved the goals of my contest prep, no detail was left up to chance. Stu did an exceptional job in creating an individualized exercise and diet plan; I have 2 jobs and he was able to tailor my workout routines to fit into my busy schedule.

He also modified certain exercises for me; I broke my arm (humerus bone) a year prior to contest prep and my arm strength was still developing at the time. Stu evaluated my progress on a weekly basis, and whenever I plateaued he adapted the diet and/or workout routine to get the results we wanted.

Stu gave me the tools (diet & exercise routine) I needed to succeed, and consistent support and guidance to make contest prep manageable. He had a knowledgeable and well researched answer for all of my questions and challenges during contest prep. I’m planning on doing another Figure contest this Spring and I wouldn’t think of competing without Stu!

 I started weight training in the fall of 2010. Shortly after, I decided to compete in figure. I contacted Stu to help me with my contest prep diet and training regiment. I worked with Stu for 16 weeks and both my body and mind went through an amazing transformation.

Stu provided me a tailored diet and training routine. He answered all my questions and provided me with motivation and support when I needed it. Most importantly, he was readily available throughout the prep. He responded to all my calls, texts, and e-mails. I never felt that I couldn't reach out to him. It was truly amazing to work with Stu, and I credit him with much of my success. I'm looking forward to working with Stu again this coming season!
